2018 is finally over, and I'm not mad about it. We've got a couple new songs in the works, and plans for more. Work on the next EP, Vol. Two, will start soon, and I'm excited to get it out to you all. Hopefully everyone loves it as much and more than Vol. One. Last year was busy and somewhat chaotic, but we put in a lot of work, and did a lot of things that some bands never get to do. This year I'm ready to continue to work hard and see where this crazy dream goes. I hope you're all with me for the ride. For all of you that support us, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Whew! This summer has been hot so far! We just released the EP, Vol. One, and opened a show for Otep. We've got new music in the works and a stage show coming together. Not to mention we've had a record label approach us, and several internet and terrestrial radio stations picking up our music. Busy, busy, busy! Things are moving along nicely and we're beyond pleased with where they seem to be aimed. Lots of hard work ahead for us, but it's all worth it to be able to do what we love so much. Hopefully we'll be able to give some dates for videos soon!!
That's right, we're on Patreon! For anybody that wants to have exclusive access to all things Whispers Of October, Patreon is the place. We'll be offering exclusive interviews, merchandise, Facebook live feeds and interactions with monthly subscription pledges. There are several tiers, starting with the Baby Creeper, for five dollars per month, all the way up to the Pride Creeper, which is twenty dollars per month. Each tier will have it's own unique perks and rewards, and for every patron that subscribes, we get closer to our goals, which all also have rewards that are personalized from us. There's also a secret group that's been created specifically for you, Creepers! I'll be posting a lot of my more personal things in this group, and the only way to become a member is by becoming a patron on Patreon. I hope that you all find this to be worth it, and I hope that I see you all in our little group soon. I love you all!
This past weekend was a busy one for us. We worked long and hard with the amazing Corey McCully and finished our debut EP, then had our first professional photo shoot and got some incredible shots with Bryan of BLG Photography. Mother nature had other plans, and brought us a snow shower, but we didn't let that stop us. Some of the best images included the snowflakes. It was a beautiful, albeit incredibly cold, experience, and I couldn't ask for a better group of guys to have done it with. I'm so very proud of our progress thus far as a band. We've accomplished several goals in the last six months that I've anxiously awaited for nearly three years. The best part is knowing that this is just the start and we've got much more to accomplish together. As always, our updates will be shared with all of you here. Don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you don't miss out on any live music videos that we post!
Our recording process has begun, and we couldn't be more excited! In just a few short weeks, we'll be able to officially present our art to you, in all its glory. We still have some work to do, but Seth and Beazl made pretty easy work of their parts so far. Watching the hard work and dedication that these gentlemen have put into this thus far makes my heart nearly burst with pride and appreciation. I can't wait to show the world what we're working on, and I hope that you creepers truly love it.
New Year, new goals. And coming up for us this weekend, recording work. That's right, we're hitting the studio to perfect our current songs so that we can get them put out there for all you creepers to finally have at your disposal. I, for one, am incredibly excited, as I've been waiting a long time to get to this point. I can't wait to post our photos and progress.
